Sustainable Success: Burnout Prevention for Leaders & Teams

Practical training in workload conversations, boundary-setting, prioritization, and sustainable team practices — before burnout costs you your best people.

Facilitated by Samka Keranovic — former VP and COO, Fast Company author, and Brainz Magazine Executive Contributor. Her research on self-abandonment and burnout in high-performing teams is the foundation of this program.

When did “reliable” start costing them everything?

Your best people keep raising their hands. Taking on more. Holding it together.

And at some point, commitment and overextension start wearing the same face.

Managers need a way to have the real conversation — about priorities, capacity, what's actually sustainable. Employees need practical language to communicate what's on their plate and negotiate competing demands.

Sustainable Success brings those conversations into the room. Through reflection, realistic workplace scenarios, and tools your team can use the same afternoon.

What your team walks away with

Spot the patterns early

Recognize overcommitment and over-responsibility before they cost you someone.

Renegotiate with language that works

Clarify priorities and renegotiate deadlines with practical, direct communication.

Set expectations without the guilt

Build clear agreements around meetings, focus time, and availability.

Pair individual action with manager-owned change

Individual actions paired with manager-owned team changes — so it's not all on the employee.

Frequently asked questions

Who is this for?

People managers, high-performing employees, executive teams, and emerging leaders. If you're in HR, Learning & Development, or a wellness team, you can sponsor an engagement for your organization.

Can the training reflect our workplace?

Yes — that's the point of the discovery conversation. We identify the pressures, audience needs, and learning objectives that matter to your team. Your proposal defines the level of customization included.

Does the training address management practices?

It does. The approach pairs individual communication skills with manager responsibilities — priorities, resources, delegation, team expectations. Both sides have to show up.

How is progress reviewed?

Feedback and brief learning measures are matched to your package. The series also includes an implementation check-in, so the conversation continues after the session ends.

Is this therapy?

No. The program provides workplace education and practical coaching tools. It does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. If someone needs therapy, we'll say so — and we'll point them in that direction.
